As I was growing up, my favorite forms of media were black and white, such as pencil sketching and calligraphy. I was captivated by lighting, shadow, and elegant lines. It wasn't until about 20 years ago that I began experimenting with colors, which unveiled an entirely new world to me. Colors have a remarkable ability to evoke emotions. They are incredibly dynamic, influenced by surrounding surfaces and the color temperature of the lighting. By replicating the works of my favorite artists, I discovered the beauty of many subtle colors. Even though they may not stand out as the "main characters" of a painting, they enhance its overall richness. The vibrancy of a painting also relies on the balance between warm and cool colors.
There is so much to learn about colors, while at the same time they have much to teach us.
